Early morning band practice

Question: have you ever tried to play a trombone at 8 o'clock in the morning? Did't think so. And if you are smart and lucky, you may never have to. But let me tell you some things about "Early morning band practice". You get into the school and it is empty and cold. then you get into the band room, and knock over a couple of stands because you're still bleary. You open up your case, pick up you're bell the drop it again since it's freezing. After a couple of minuets, the band has started to assemble- Playing all sorts of horrid sounding warm up notes to try to reach some reasonable level of intuneation. Your tone is twisted and flat, and you can barley get the air to flow through. Songs that are normaly easy for the band sound like a chorus of yetis singing out of time. The only good thing about early morning band is that it makes for excellent conversation- everyone is tired and saying really ridiculous things.
